The first thing you will notice about Oregon State University is that it is a very large school. To give a fair idea, it comprises of about 27,902 students. That being the case, you are always treated like an individual and not as a mere number. This is a research-centric school which was started way back in 1868. Oregon State University is located in the Corvallis city. Though not a major city, it has a population of about 50,000. Corvallis is geographically situated 35 miles south of Salem. You definitely do not need to purchase heavy winter woollens for staying in this part of the country. Summers are warm and consistent, though rest of the year has plenty of rainfall. You may experience a miniscule amount of snowfall during the year. A raincoat is guaranteed to be your best friend here throughout the year.
